Guidelines for Preparing Print Files and Mailing Lists
Files for Print
We accept InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and PDF file formats for printing. When uploading be sure to include fonts and images with your document (not required for PDF's).
If your files are created in a different format (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) you can still upload them and we will review them for usability. Please be advised that files in these alternate formats may need to be re-created or incur additional charges to make them usable.
When creating PDF files, be sure to use a press-ready setting and include marks and bleeds (if applicable). Please note that we cannot make changes to PDF files.
We allow one re-submission of files per job free of charge. Each additional submission will incur a $25 charge.
Mailing List Files
We accept Excel, ASCII text (delimited or fixed-length fields), Access or dBase compatible (.dbf) file formats. We do not accept mailing lists in Word documents.
We recommend including a header record in your list (this identifies the type of record in each column - name, company, address, etc.)
When entering data, never use a hard or soft return within a field or combine fields (name and company should not be in the same field). Here is a basic layout of a properly formatted list in Excel:
